NATIONAL BANK OF DUBAI UPGRADES ATM SERVICES WITH LEVEL FOUR SOFTWARE

Level Four receives recognition for its ATM Channel Development Suite Platform throughout the Middle East

London, 26 January 2005 – National Bank of Dubai has announced today their partnership with Level Four Software, the leading provider of ATM test and development software, to enable faster delivery of new ATM content and customer services to the bank’s multi-vendor network.

National Bank of Dubai are presently switching to the Postilion transaction processing platform from Mosaic Software, a new platform globally positioned at the forefront of next-generation payment processing software. The core elements of Level Four’s ATM Channel Development Suite will be used to interface to the new Postilion switch system as a virtual ATM, enabling NBD to automate the regression testing of ATM transactions.

National Bank of Dubai will deploy Level Four’s ATM Developer for the desktop development of upgraded ATM content and graphics. The software will enable the bank to design, configure and test new ATM content from any desktop PC within its network. ATM Developer is a straightforward tool that will help the bank deliver new content such as special customer offers and seasonal messages to the bank’s multi-vendor ATM network.

“The competitive nature of the banking industry in the UAE requires us to constantly provide new service offerings to all of our customers,” said Abdulfattah Sharaf - Divisional Head, Cards Business, at National Bank of Dubai. “Level Four’s simple and flexible approach enables us to provide value-added ATM services while increasing customer usage and meeting industry needs.”

Having selected Level Four based on its proven track record throughout the Middle East, the National Bank of Dubai has also considered utilizing additional modules from Level Four’s ATM Channel Development Suite. In order to comply with new measures set by The Arab Gulf Cooperation Council for EMV compliance, NBD will use Level Four modules EMV FastTrack and 3DES FastTrack, ensuring thorough end-to-end testing from the card to the switch platform.

“The National Bank of Dubai has led the way amongst UAE banks to comply with mandated standards for EMV and Triple DES. Level Four’s testing tools will enable NBD to meet the compliance deadlines and provide a platform for future developments,” said Osman Mehta, General Manager, Middle East, Level Four Software Ltd.
